Do you make half sizes?

No, but our sizing does run large. Refer to the size guides for each product and check the foot length measurement for most accurate fit.

Natural rubber gumboots have minimal stretch. They may soften slightly with wear but won’t stretch significantly like leather. It’s important to choose your correct size from the start for best comfort and durability.

How should I store my gumboots?

It’s best not to leave rubber gumboots outside for prolonged periods. Exposure to direct sunlight and weather can cause the rubber to dry out, become brittle, and crack over time. Store your gumboots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent the rubber from deteriorating.

Can gumboots be repaired if damaged?

It’s very difficult to repair a rubber gumboot once it has a hole because the rubber is vulcanised, making it chemically challenging for a patch to bond properly. In contrast, a bike tube can be repaired more easily since its outer layer is not vulcanised, allowing a patch with vulcanising fluid to form a strong bond.

Should I dry my rubber gumboots in front of a fire or heater?

No, it is not recommended to dry your rubber gumboots directly in front of a fire or heater. Direct heat sources like fireplaces, radiators, or heaters can cause serious damage to the rubber material. This includes premature aging, shrinkage, cracking, and deformation of the boots. The best practice is to let your gumboots air dry naturally at room temperature in a well-ventilated area.

What are the best gumboots to use when on the farm motorbike?

Your heel should lift no more than 1cm when walking - this will reduce as the boot breaks in
